JAPAN YO

Dear Brisbane

I would like to inform you that, seriously, you gotta step it up. I am back from Japan, if you hadn't notice and I am here to share with you how I think Japan can influence you towards your 'stepping up' changes.

Narita Station, taking note of the language

To start, lets rethink the tidyness and cleanliness of your streets, your stations, your economy and living arrangements. I have never experienced such perfection til I began to walk the streets of Ginza, Tokyo, and dont even get me started on Tokyo Disney. There are thousands more people who live in that tiny country, they can keep their shit together!

Kyoto

Customer service, friendliness and welcoming people with open arms. No matter what the situation is, the Japanese will make sure you are put first and will go above and beyond to help you.

Catching the train in japan in like catching a train when your completely wasted. They go everywhere and anywhere, and there are so many tracks and entrances, I dont even have enough fingers and toes to count them all on my hands and feet.  And, thats in one station. Arriving on the first night into Shinjuku, I think I may have possibly caught several flies with the way my jaw was hanging. Even though I had no knowledge of the language, except maybe thank you, please, hello and where is the toilet?, they didn't seem to mind at all, in fact I actually think they enjoyed watching me try to hit the slang.

Tokyo Disney, feeling like a kid again

Ordering food, it was like they could read your mind. Even though you had no idea what you were putting yourself into, they knew exactly how to hit the taste buds of a strenuous day. I only had mcdonalds once just putting it out there. And the shopping, holy hell Harajuku, if you were a human I would marry you! I behaved, but could have quite easily come home with 3 or 4 more suit cases, just simply shopping in Takeashita lane.

Freedom of space. Even though walking through the crowded streets was a strain, not once did I see a inch of tension or anger between the individuals. The japanese have an amazing sense of respect for personal space and this made being in this strange yet beautiful country, feel some what welcoming and safe. Lets get rid of the street rage Brisbane.

Golden Palace, Kyoto

And last but not least, trading hours of everything. Everyday I was out of bed and walking the streets by 9am. Where the hell is everyone? Yeh thats right Brisbane, they dont trade or start work till 11am and stay up late working til midnight. Late night trade every day!! Waddup convenience! Lets rethink our trading hours, I heart breakingly do miss having a wee sleep in and I am sure your are well aware im not a morning person to mess with. Just ask the Brisbane bus drivers.

All in all, Japan you made me feel like me again. Oragato (thank you), I will remain to always be so heart broken for leaving, and I can truthfully say I will be back before you know it! Brisbane, I will be arranging your kick in the pants before you know it!
