I had a great weekend, the weather some what dull but all in all it was great just to hang out. I am extremely lucky to have the friends i have in Sydney. Well you could actually say they are more my family, rather than my friends. they are the most talented bunch of people i know and they inspire me everyday. When someone is going to an event or someone is doing something in particular, then everyone is doing it. Normally we spend most weekends together but this one in particular we enjoyed the company of everyone, the whole time.
On Saturday it was Benji's 21st birthday which made it even special, and if someone had to celebrate their birthday for the whole weekend, it would have to be Benji boy. Well worth it though, i love celebrating other people's birthday rather than my own. We had three celebratory events for him, all involving a lil to much to drink, some horribly greasy food, loud music and a whole lotta lovin.
Ben is a great guy. the kinda guy that would do anything for anyone, yet he stands his own ground for his own pride. Talented in many ways, he's a painter, a model, a musician and a great friend. He is the kind of person that allows anyone to simply just join in. It is rare that you find these kind of people. Ben lives with Kate and John, across the street from me,
and with Gary his brother. Kate has become like my sister. Too close to for words sometimes.
Then there is Bryce and Kendyl, hottest pair in town.
Marcus, biggest chatter box but it wouldn't be the same if he wasn't.
Carly girl, Gary's other half,
Elenka. Elenka, THE babe!
and me and Xian.
Then the group tree's off with friends of friends that someone knows, that you know, and so on and so on.
To end the weekend we had the most delicious BBQ i have had in such a long time. To just even out the understandings, i have not had a BBQ meal since living in QLD, thats 7 months ago. Not owning BBQ anymore is the most annoying thing in the world. Im not a huge meat eater but i love a good ol' BBQ every now and then. Whilst finishing ours beers at the london pub we decided that we would head down the road to Darlinghurst, to Bryce and Kendyl's house for a jumbo feast. And boy did we eat til we fell over. Or maybe that was the wine???
So now, its time to get back into work mode and hope time flies for the next weekend to arrive quicker than ever. Its being a good 3 days off!
